Contractor Pre-Qualification
There
are several options available on the Gulf Coast for
contractor pre-qualification systems. Please see the

Two
Philosophies
- There are two philosophies in use with regards to
pre-qualification systems (PQF's). The
first philosophy employs a
decentralized
model and the second a centralized model.
The
decentralized
model allows plants/owners to gather
contractor profiles using either paper forms or a Microsoft Access
file, which is an open
architecture platform that is easily customized by
the plant. Contractors can also use the electronic tool
to manage their sub-contractors.
The second philosophy employs a
centralized
electronic database, where contractor profiles are
posted and owners can access the system.

GBRIA
PQF Add-on Form
GBRIA
has developed an add-on form to complement the systems
currently being used across the Gulf Coast. This
form was developed by a committee of GBRIA members to
enhance the data gathered by other PQF systems,
specifically the Houston Area Safety Council and Safety
Council of Southwest LA's PQF systems.
