CONTRACTOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
This committee addresses the concerns of industry to
develop an affordable, available skilled craft contractro workforce.
Primary efforts have focused on the development of
contractors who perform work in construction and
maintenance.
Craft Training
GBRIA members have sponsored the ABC Craft Training
Center since 1984. Members donate an hourly surcharge on
contracts, which is used to fund over $1 million each
year of the school's budget. Contractors also donate
their time, money and materials to make the school a success.
View the comprehensive GBRIA ABC Partnership How To
Guide.pdf for a full description of how the process
works.
We are also working to promote best practices in craft workforce development - please see the following for more information on the LA Craft Workforce Development Board Recommendations.
