GBRIA has a long history of helping plants and contractors improve safety performance. Our goal is to ensure that each person goes home the same way or better than how they came to work that day. We have several programs that support improving safety performance.

Safety, Health & Security Committee – GBRIA has a number of sub-committees working to improve safety in the workplace and community. See how you can get involved!

Contractor Audits for Process Safety Management Compliance – GBRIA has provided contractor audits that plants share since 1996. Let us help you streamline and lower your cost of doing audits.

 Individual Safety Awards – GBRIA has teamed up with the Safe Nation Radio Program to reward safety excellence. Nominate a co-worker, supplier, contractor or community member now!

Contractor Safety Awards – Each year, our member plants nominate and select contractors who have achieved excellent safety performance to receive awards. We celebrate with an Awards Banquet.

Criminal Background Screens –the Security Passport program offers a portable screen and is accepted by many plants in the Greater Baton Rouge area.

Contractor Safety Training – the Safety Council of the LA Capital Area delivers safety training for GBRIA members to prepare contract workers to enter industrial sites and is accepted by all plants in the Greater Baton Rouge area as well as many other plants in the nation.

Site Specific Orientations

(Through the Safety Council of the LA Capital Area) the Safety Council also delivers Site-Specific orientation for contractors. See which plants conduct theirs through the Safety Council.

Zero Incident Safety Culture - This is a "living" document in which the GBRIA Safety, Health & Security Committee had complied of barriers and best practices to a Zero Incident Safety Culture.
