Connie Fabre

President and chief executive officer (cEO)

Connie Fabré is the President and CEO of the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance.  In addition to her responsibilities at GBRIA, Connie also serves as a Board of Trustee member for the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), is an advisory Board member of Louisiana State University’s (LSU) Transportation Consortium of South-Central States (Tran-SET), and is the Industry Representative on the Louisiana Board of Regents’ Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (LA EPSCoR).  Connie also serves on a number of Advisory Committees, including the Associated Builders and Contractors Craft Training School, the Alliance Safety Council, LSU’s Chemical Engineering Department, Southeastern Louisiana University’s Occupational Safety, Health and Environment program, and on each of the Process Technology Advisory Committees for the Louisiana Community and Technical Colleges in the region.

Connie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, both at LSU and has over 25 years of experience working in plant production, quality management, business consulting, governmental and public affairs, and association management.   Before joining GBRIA in March 2004, Connie worked for Exxon Chemicals in Cologne, Germany and Baton Rouge, B.F. Goodrich Company in Plaquemine, LA and Cleveland, Ohio, Monsanto Company in Luling, LA, Focused Developments, LLC in Baton Rouge, LA and the Louisiana Chemical Association. 

Connie was born in New Jersey and grew up living in Hong Kong, Belgium and Germany following her father’s career with Exxon.  She came to Baton Rouge as a teenager and adopted Louisiana as her home ever since.  When Connie is not working, she enjoys the outdoors, traveling and spending time with her husband, Mike and 3 boys, Mike Jr., Austin, and Travis.
