  Connie Fabré, Executive Director

Connie Fabré earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, both at Louisiana State University (LSU) and has 20 years of experience in plant engineering, production and quality control; marketing, purchasing, quality management, business consulting, governmental affairs, and association management.

Before joining GBRIA in March 2004, Mrs. Fabre worked for Exxon Chemicals in Cologne, Germany, the B.F. Goodrich Company in Plaquemine, LA and Cleveland, Ohio, Monsanto Company in Luling, LA, Focused Developments, LLC in Baton Rouge, LA and the Louisiana Chemical Association, also in Baton Rouge. She grew up in New Jersey and overseas, following her father’s career with Exxon. She came to Baton Rouge in 1976 and has adopted Louisiana as her home. Ms. Fabre enjoys the outdoors, motor sports and spending time with her family.

 

 Sue Leger, Manager of Administration & Finance

Sue Leger, originally from Tyler, Texas, moved to Louisiana in 1974.  She found Louisiana's intriguing culture, warm-hearted people and fabulous food every reason to stay and raise a family.  Sue's son Paul (who was trained at the ABC Craft Training Center) is an electrician and her daughter Sara is an artist.

Sue has worked as an administrative assistant in various fields including the Louisiana Architects Association (AIA) and Task Force LLC, a local company associated with Post Katrina light property maintenance. Sue also has owned her own business, selling Jafra Cosmetics for many years.  Sue enjoys cooking for family and friends, interior decorating, traveling and yard work.

 

 Jessica Pranjic, Manager of Communications & Workforce Development

Jessica grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications- Public Relations and a Minor in Business Administration. Jessica has most recently worked as a Public Affairs intern at the Louisiana Chemical Association and the Tatmangroup, LLC. and has experience doing free-lance journalism for a local publication. Jessica has also practiced Tae Kwon Do for more than 10 years and began teaching others at the age of 18!

Jessica facilitates GBRIA's Membership & Public Affairs Committee and Contractor Workforce Development Committee and manages GBRIA's surveys. She also maintains GBRIA's website and social media accounts. So if you haven't already, be sure to like GBRIA on Facebook and follow us on Twitter!

 

Brandon Smith, Manager of Safety, Health & Security

Brandon graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment. He also currently serves as Chapter President of the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). Brandon has previous experience in industry service since 2009! He comes to us as a former Safety Specialist at PoolCorp. He has prior experience as a Loss Control Consultant for The Timberman Fund and a Safety Technician for Hartt Safety Services at ExxonMobil BRPO.

Brandon facilitates GBRIA's Safety, Health & Security Committee, GBRIA's Quarterly Safety, Health and Security Technology Exchanges, CAER Best Practices Exchanges and GBRIA's Contractor Safety Audit Program.

Along with enjoying time with his wife, Maria, and daughter, Gabriela, in Ponchatula, Louisiana, Brandon is also active in his local Masonic Lodge!
