LSU Branding Expert Kicks Off GBRIA’s Young Professionals Network
Dr. Thomas Karam, distinguished instructor in LSU’s Department of Marketing and the Flores MBA Program, shared expert insights on personal branding and likability at GBRIA’s inaugural Young Professionals Network event. Held at the Alliance Safety Council’s Emerging Technology Center, the event drew professionals of all ages eager to learn from Dr. Karam, who has coached top LSU athletes like Shaquille O’Neal and Ricky Jean Francois on how to present themselves confidently both on camera and on stage.
With humor and energy, Dr. Karam broke down key components of a strong personal brand: the power of tone, awareness of facial expressions, and strategies for managing nerves during presentations. His talk offered practical takeaways that resonated with both seasoned professionals and those early in their careers.
Following the presentation, attendees connected over drinks during a networking cocktail hour, building relationships across industries.
Special thanks to GBRIA Board Member Jeff Romig and Barriere Construction for sponsoring the event and helping bring Dr. Karam to our members.
