High School Begins

High School is an exciting start to a new chapter in your life. As you begin to consider future career possibilities, explore the craft careers listed below to see what may spark your interest.

NCCER Core Curriculum

9th & 10th Grades
Complete NCCER’s Core Curriculum as a pre-requisite to further craft training. This can be obtained from High Schools offering NCCER courses or a post-secondary institution partner.

Choose your craft

11th & 12th Grades Choose your preferred skill: Choose a skill based on what type of work you enjoy! Different craft careers require different skillsets and interest. It's okay to try your hand at different things, you may even find natural aptitude towards one in particular.

Training Programs

Where will you train?
Some area high schools have their own training labs on campus. Others utilize post-secondary-level training facilities. Some schools even offer dual-enrollment programs for students to train in their craft and earn college credentials.

High School Graduation

Complete your High School Career!
Earn your High School Diploma and NCCER or other Skilled Craft credentials. After graduation you now have an opportunity to begin your career, but remember, further education in your craft will enhance your skills. Never stop learning!
